Are both engine mounts the same size? I seem to have one that is bigger it's been on there for ages, both are from SC power but the heat shields I'm just about to put on doesn't fit the bigger one,
I was wondering if they may have sent me a mount for a cerb or one of the T cars

Richard, don't forget, the original mounts had a packing plate on the drivers side making it deeper.

My original rover mounts were just old and shot so replaced them with the early poly ones from SC power, i changed the manifolds and y piece for ACT decat system, the nearside melted and was replaced free of charge,
then thought about fitting heat shields and have found the original SC power one to be bigger than the replacement.
I have the the spacer for the offside and was in place with the bigger/older SC mount which is also pulling away from the metal and bulging slightly,

I was thinking about changing mine, I fitted the originals with a restraint mount. I then found this mount fouled the chassis

Be very careful not to distort the sump, there are enough problems sealing the sump without bending it wink

Quite right, a small block under the front pulley would be better.

Right then!
A pair of new ones ordered that are supposed to be good for any amount of heat i can throw at them, I will still fit the heat shields as an extra precaution.

Is it just the O/S that has the packer on? If you don't mind me asking where did you get them from and are they OE or uprated ones?

I've also got to do mine so would be interested in where you sourced the uprated ones. thumbup

I had the same problem last year. The cradles fouled the chassis on both sides. Scratched my new powdercoating as well grrrr.

So I ended up modifying the cradle to clear the chassis.

Thankfully the body was still off at this point so it was much easier to work on.

SC Power were very good though, they offered to sell me some special new mounts at a discount but i felt i had spent enough time and effort on these cradles so i left it.
