Are they Mk4 Bilstien shocks you have there? If so I have just had a full set of those fitted with new standard red and yellow springs and they are superb.
May I ask what discs you have?
Matthew
discs are vented, cross drilled/grooved standard size (273mm)not cheap compared to std discs but i like them, using with mintex 1144 pads (as thats what its got up front disc/pad combo and they work very well) decided to stay with the standard shocks / springs which i know devides opinion !

Very nice indeed. May I ask where you got those discs from? With regards to the suspension I thought long and hard about what to go for and I eventually decided upon the Mk4 Bilstiens which are now the standard replacement for the green OEM Bilstiens. I am very very impressed with the ride quality of mine now and I am glad I made that choice..... I know for a fact I would be constantly tinkering if I bought adjustable suspension.
discs were accuired from "rally design" ,,, rd part number BM208 (cosworth 4x4 rear disc spec) they are local to me and a good motorsport supplier.
went for standard suspension as i know i also would be forever adjusting and experimenting , just going to have the full geo set up when its finnished, and make the most of what its got !
been following the "scotty d" and "spongy" threads ,good work!!!,
shocks appeared on ebay, emailed the guy to make sure they were new, made an offer and he sold ,by the time the bushes were bought they worked out around 50% of the cost they are from some tvr suppliers,
thanks for the poss comments

Where did you get the new bilsteins from, and how much.
If you are not as lucky as the OP to get a bargain from eBay. I bought mine new from here:Front C0422

An excellent choice for a road car IMO.
Looking fantastic, well worth the effort....what are you doing about the front??
I am planning a similar job on the tuscan this winter - but with perhaps more painting and refurbing as its all pretty good (well...apart from the diff case which looks like it has been sat next to spongy's on the sea bed since titanic sank...) But im hoping the case will clean up well as did spongy's
(forgive me if i am telling you something you dont know) One tip from when i did a bit of work last year, assemble the wishbones to the chassis and leave the bolts finger tight, then when its allabout in place, hold them horizontal or just upwards of horizontal, i didnt do this first time round and that car sat too high when it was all back on the ground.
I think the nuts and bolts from steve heath are are per TVR standard out of the factory so may be worth considering a bit more protection on them too unless you dont mind a change every couple of years ... or rusty bolts!
Been considering this myself and it isnt very straightforward but i think i have a plan!!

done the front end last year and had intended to do the rear end straight away then, but decided to get it back on road instead,as it happened i didnt get much chance to use it last summer so the front is in the same condition as i installed it ,
polybushed all wishbones so all moves smoothly with no preload , that said will still torque up to spec once suspension is under load !
