stepper motor and plastic wiper washer tube

Hi guys after a bit of general advice. The Stepper motor is at silly prices £90 plus from the usual places. but there is plenty on ebay for approx £24. Ad states they are suitable for the 3.9 rover v8. ....anybody bought one?....Are they suitable?
Next question the plastic tubing attached to the wiper arms has split. Can you buy this plastic tube anywhere? I have seen complete arms plus the tubing attached for sale, but there is nothing wrong with the wiper arms, so dont want to go down this route. Thanks in advance Tom.

Pot luck on the Chinese replica steppers. Some leak air, some have over long rods, so cant control the airflow, and the odd one works.

Tom I bought an ebay one for the V8S and it didn't work - I couldn't get it started, tried old one again and it was fine so left the bugger alone.

TVR parts dealers like Racing Green sell the black rubber washer tube. It's about a fiver for the (min) 1 metre length as I recall...

Had my Chimaera for about 18 months, one of the first things I replaced was the stepper motor, with a cheapo Ebay one, still working fine when I sold it.

Maybe I was just lucky? maybe they ain't that bad ?

Tom, I have "miles" of screen wash tube I was given a while back, its black but more like a "plasticy rubber".
Gladly put you a couple of metres in the post if you drop me your address, might be ok, no loss if it isn't

I think the washer tube is the same as is available from Citroen dealers - I took my broken piece in and was exact match, but they only sell it in long lengths. I was lucky enough to find someone that had a spare short piece in the end as i think from citroen they just sold it in lengths of multiple meters!
