I guess one question is, if you want nine grand for your car, why have you taken three terrible photos of it?

On face value much too cheap. My first question, in what year did the odometer stick ?

Investigate it thoroughly though - if it's genuine then it could be a bargain for somebody..

Could be a bargain, could be a waste of money. Will see what the seller comes back with.

could be a good buy!

On a previous car i bought, the seller had taken the worst photos and he was a nightmare to get hold of!!!
at first it put me off, eventually got hold of him and ended up seeing the car and it was in tip top condition. The reason i could not get hold of him was he was a pilot so always abroad and he was very old school so never replied to my mail.

Funniest was he advertised the car and forgot to mention is was the turbo version! i ended up with a complete bargain.

Good luck

I reckon they've built their extension and then thought "fk it, how are we going to get the car out?!"

I'm oot.

"Very little documentation with the car as lost by previous owner - a commercial pilot working abroad. The TVR specialist in Doncaster that looked after the car however, confirmed very low usage whilst in his possession. So, given that we've done less than 200 miles in 3.5 years and the previous owner had it from 2002...We've given it a couple of services and replaced the idler pulley which squeaked. Other than that, it's been sitting in my workshop, although I did leave it outside for about a month whilst I made some windows for the house. I should have known better, as I've had TVRs for years. The new carpets were fairly ruined and I've not replaced them. Rather, done the next best thing; never left it outside, removed seats and installed a trickle charger and a dehumidifier which are on constantly. it's by no means perfect cosmetically but then hopefully the price leaves something in the wallet to do a few jobs before the summer."

Edo, if it helps, I considered this when looking for my chimp a few months ago, it was advertised sitting in the snow, with a fairly poor pic and vague description. The vendors eventual reply to my mail and phone call was the same as yours, he wasnt evasive, but things didnt add up and didnt inspire me with confidence, I left it

I had a think on this one when I first saw the advert
It's not a million miles from me, so I dropped him a mail to ask a couple of questions, but didn't get a response.
If it's mechanically sound (although car is currently sorn, so no test driving) and it just needs a carpet a couple of other bits, then with a good service and some running, it could (on face value as a low milage, desirable coloured 500) be a decent buy.
Anyway, seller didn't get back to me and I'm not overly interested in chasing, so I left it at that.
I'd certainly be interested to hear if anyone does go and see it, or wants a second opinion to come along with them as I'm just 20miles down the road
