So the front bolt of the lower rear wishbone is a bit of a fiddle and the manifold bolts are a bugger if they break, but where is the one that everyone hates? bleeding knuckles, midget hands, extra joints, blowtorch heat, days of soaking in wd40..? smile

Not sure that it is a bolt but that little bit of wire on the heater control valve is not the easiest to get connected properly.

Manifold bolts (I changed mine to Allen heads, stainless steel) but still a bh to get to them.
Dash top retaining nuts (x 3) all a bugger to get at (wing nuts help no end!)
The Ministry of C**p design certainly went to town on the Chim. But I still love it!
Oh, and did I mention the headlight retaining screws?......

The second bolt in from the front on exhaust manifolds. They have to be the first to be wound in otherwise the angle of the exhaust branch restricks the bolt from going in. Replaced the gaskets many times now, and once that bolts in the rest are a breeze.

the door mirror allen key grub screw, the one ya cant actually f****Ing get to , and the door card nut toward rear of door ,fuel filter bracket mounting bolt, any siezed suspension bolt, front chassis earth (under the rad), manifold bolts,, the list is endless ! ( like the amount of customised tools made to accomadate the "quirky" placement of difficult fixings )

The first time you get a handful in and tight and realise the 2nd one in is jammed against the branch and they all have to come out, the next time its the first to go in lol

Yes, I second the shout for the 3rd dash nut on the drivers side, it is nearly as difficult a quest as to find the 100 amp fuse.............both need navigational skills Livingstone didn't even get blessed with.

That little tw@t wedged up in the corner of the dash even has its own defence mechanism to keep it in place. I remember getting the first 2 out with only minor flesh wounds and then after a ciggie and a pep talk made the attack on the third.............. nowhere to be seen or felt
mad
So after another ciggie and a couple band aids applied I tried again.....Eureka!!!!, found it.

An hour later after unscrewing it at the rate of a millionth of a turn per minute I had the bugger in my bloodied hand....so I thought.

Dash was still stuck like st to a blanket but bonnet release bracket and cable was swinging freely like a thin horses cock!!!!

I may come back to TVRs one day when the traumas finally subsidebiggrin

Kenny
PS Never did find the 100 amp fuse

Use loads of extensions to bring it right out of the wheel arch and you can do it like that.
