Hi I had my wing mirror resprayed as some of the paint had peeled off ever so slightly, 4weeks on and the mirror now seems to drop! So when I'm driving I can't see for $hit out of my wing mirror.. Is it easy to tighten up or do I need a special tool?

It could be one of two things. The metal collar that sits in the door recess (under a black plastic collar) could be loose and will need tightening with an allen key, it you can get at the grub screw. If you can turn the stem of the wing mirror in a circular fashion then this is the issue you have. The second could be that that the metal frame inside the wing mirror itself has snapped, causing the mirror itself to flop about, with the stem remaining firm. The second one can be fixed with a riveted backing plate. There is a thread on how to do it on here somewhere. The second happened to me,the metal framework of the wing mirror suffers from fatigue.

I have the latter of the two problems, any idea what car the wing mirrors came off to start with?? I take it there not TVR's own design

No need to buy new ones (they are rare, expensive and come unpainted). Here's this fix
