Has anyone ever removed the folding roof???
Discussion
Sorry, this kind of relates to my earlier post, i cant find this info in a search.
just want to know if anyone here has actually removed the folding roof, and if so is it easy, or is it glued to the body?
the header bar thingy is secured by allen bolts either side, the sides kinda secures by velcro, but what happens where the roof meets the rear of the boot, is it held in with screws or other?

I'm sure I read about this not long ago....I'll go look..

It's bolted through the body at the rear. Undo the carbet in the top of the bolt and pray they haven't rusted solid. The hoop should be unbolted - don't remove the fabric from the hoop as you won't get it back on again or will rip it. Also make copious notes of how it went back so that you can ensure it goes back correctly and doesn't start leaking.

I THINK, theres 4 or 5 bolts holding the back edge down, remove the trim above the tank in the boot and, while wearing gloves (to avoid fibreglass splinters), feel upwards you should be able to feel the nuts, the outer 2 will require you to employ the services of a small Albanian boy with thin arms
Refitting makes removal look very easy

I got my copy last week.
Top book and well worth every penny.
TVRCC were very polite and prompt delivery was an added bargain.
Thanks to Steve for all the time and work that's gone into the book
I'm taking it on holiday with me so I can sit by the pool and read until my hearts content.
