As above new to this forum i'm a marine engineer and my son and i are going to build a track day car and being long established tvr fans have previously owned an early grandtura then chineara and cerberra we are now going back to a chimeara, going to be a body of rebuild cant make up my mind yet on power plant got our eye on a damaged 4.5 but early days i have secured an old prefab house as a workshop some prep to do there but cant wait to get going i'm sure i will be on here for info etc. as the project proceeds all the best .

Hi and good to hear, some pics of the build are always good!

As you're in Norfolk, maybe we could hook up on track when you're done, Snetterton/Brands etc.

I will be arranging a day for other tivvers in the summer.

If your looking for a good base chassis, have a look at this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/tvr-chimaera-rolling-cha...
He has the rolling one and also another that has no components on it. They both looked really nice and rust free. HTH.

Thanks for the replies,i live in reedham on the river yare ,and i had thought of going chassis route then build from there but i think at present a more or less complete car so i have the majority of components is the plan at present but i appreciate any offers.

That engine looks like a pre serp. I didnt think SC Power did a supercharger kit for the pre serp only the serp as the wider belt is required.

Why is it all in bits?

If you are seriously going to track it, feel free to ask about setup/springs/dampers/caster etc, etc.

No doubt that will be a while yet!

The previous owner was going to attempt a chassis of rebuild circumstances did not allow him to complete the work so he has sold the car on.

That sounds very handy. Would you fancy knocking up a few extra pulleys as i quite fancy the supercharger route but the pulley issue with a pre serp is proving problematic.

Certainly would be no problem once i get the blower from david i will start immediatly so i could easily make a second set or more should the need arise.
