Folks,

Have just sorted leaking roof and feeling good.

Today went our to car, not been driven for a week, and discovered passenger front footwell soaking wet. Tasting the stuff confirms it has antifreeze in it.

My best guess, therefore, is that there is a leak in / on / near the heater matrix.

Has anyone had this problem, and of so any ideas / suggestions?

I would really like someone to tell me there is any easy fix... but I'm not hopeful.

Thanks for the advice.

Rich,
I would first check the heater matrix valve that shuts off the water as these tend to leak and are an easy fix.
After that I would check pipework and lastly the matrix it's self.
Good luck,
Paul.

and please stop tasting anti-freeze. It's poisonous and can cause brain damage.
