Mine has been held in place for 6 years now by No More Nails tape.
Easy to use no fuss and the heat from the engine cured it good and solid.

Hi,

I used Sikaflex to bond my tatty one on.

Does anyone know of someone making/selling one for Chimaeras with the aluminium reinforcing bars, pre 96 i think. You can buy the material but not the heat proof thread.

I need to replce mine as it looks tatty, the later type are avaiable (bonnets with the reinforcing cross fibre glassed in place)but i cant find anyone selling the early one.
