Ok i enjoyed that! Now tell us the important bit!
High figures normally followed by lots of chest out gloating!
Low figures usually kept secret!
So come on give us a clue???

Ok so did your Dyno shoot out take place?
I'm very interested in the results as both your car and conversion look very tidy clap also sounds the bks!
There seems many ways to skin the preverbal TVR cat, Turbo's, Supercharger's,LS power but to name the obvious, but not seen a 5.4 on the blowers before?
I'm all ears

I bet that has some serious poke! Out of interest, what does a 5.4 rev to? I thought that with the 5 litre, the engine had to be stroked as well as bored, and therefore the revviness of the engine started to decline after 5 litres? Or is this myth?

I've never understood that myth either, my 5.4 revs well to 6500 if I want it to, but I dont allow it to go beyond 6200.
0-60 in 3.6 Seconds before I put the blower on it, not bad for an engine that wont rev confused

Yeah its in the Cobra, I can log it on the MegaSquirt (MS3) as the ECU has several vehicle speed inputs.
I simply calibrated one of them using a SatNav at 60MPH. You can see I didnt make a great gear change from 2nd to 3rd, so the 0-80MPH isnt great.

Interesting. Yes that gearchange wasnt good. With a 0-60 in 3.58 you should be nearer to 100 in 7.3
Does the first screen grab show the starting speed of 2mph or was it a still standing start?

It was a still standing start. I simply took the start point from when the wheel moved (2MPH) its the only way I could think of doing it.

The gearbox is still my old LT77, I hope to get a T5 for it soon, so gearchanges will be better I hope smile

My 3.63 was recorded at York raceway. They have a speed camera mounted behind you and its triggered when you reach 60 mph.
The trick is to shallow stage and this gives you a 12" run up to the timing beam so a slight rolling start as far as the numbers are concerned wink
