Speak to Bridgewater electronics they sorted mine after people on hear recommended them, really helpful and a lot cheaper than a new alarm

its still one of the best alarms although its over 15 years old if you can get it fixed it will be worth it

Apparantley the fobs can loose syncrinisation with the brain, giving the impression the alarm has failed, worth checking before you condemn. Try a thread search on Grif/Chim forums, or maybe some will come along and explain how to resync.

Foxguard was TVR OE fit, one of the most reliable alarms going, stick with it if you can.

Has it ever worked in your time, do you have more than one remote?

hi there, only had the car a week or so, ive two key fobs, which when pressed, the LED's flash.

But nothing, not sure where to start with the fault finding - but yeah, would prefer to stick with it and get it up and running, were these also remote central locking systems?

Cheers

The first thing you do is make sure the remotes both have NEW batteries in them, they must have the full 12v to work properly. They may just start to work with new batteries in them if you are lucky.

After that you can try and sync them to see if that works, they won't sync with old batteries in them.

The fact the LEDs flash or light up means nothing in voltage terms.

If that doesn't work you then need to start by checking live and especially a good earth.

Central locking outputs are handled by the smaller plug, 10-pin?

Good luck

Try disconnecting your main battery for 30 seconds and then reconnect smartly and cleanly.
They sometimes get confused especially if you have had a flat battery at any time.
Got to be worth a punt and only takes a few minutes.
Paul.

Ever so slightly off topic, but - is it possible to adjust the sensitivity?

I cant use the interior sensor on mine as it sets the alarm off far to easily.
