Not too bad a job, I took the bonnet off when I took mine out.. just mark the hinge positions so you can put it back on again in the correct place.. Rad comes out fairly easily just watch the brackets on the inner wings as there is not much clearance.. One person each side would be recomended.. I think a recore cost me £120... Hope this helps..
The radiator itself is not that heavy. however, make sure you cover over the inner wings where the rad might scratch them. I suggest masking tape covered with duct tape. From experience, you will need this protection.

The job is much easier if you have 2 people to do it, especially when removing the fans to allow enough clearance to get the rad in/out, the expansion tank also needs unbolting, I didn't take the bonnet off to get it out though. My rebuild cost £180 but Colchester Radiators fitted more efficient cores and now the car doesn't go above 70C when moving in any ambient temp.
