Since fitting the new Bocsh 044 fuel pump i can hear a gushing noise in the fuel tank ,even when its got a few gallons left in the bottom .

Is this normal? the return is is not blocked ,checked it !

Looks like im going have to keep alot more fuel in the tank ..

Maybe the pump is so powerful it's returning fuel constantly!

At this rate, you won't run out!

Right, Is this an upgrade? Does Mega Gush replace the old Mega Squirt? Need to know more. Still need more BHP, could this be it? Daz, how easy is it to map your new Mega Gush system? Will it work with those new head castings? Will I need bigger injectors? Why is it still pishing down with rain? This is very exciting. Can't wait...

R u sure it's not a warp core breach in progress ??? smile

The noise is of course is the amount of fuel it's returning , I am assuming u have a pressure reg on it

Yes adjustable Malsappi 1:1 ,not touched it set at around 37psi

Maybe its being pumped around to fast,is this what those catchment tanks are for to stop this.

That gushing noise is just the sound of untold money heading towards the front of the car and then back down out the exhaust pipes hehe

Thats one hell of a pump.. Can the regulator cope with all that flow? i don`t want even more fuel being burnt.

Indeedly doodly.

The whole idea is to be able burn as much as possible as fast as possible.
As long as your a/f mix is right and the petrol isn't leaking onto the floor, all is good.

is it possible you have a tiny air leak, and the pump is sucking air in somewhere to the fuel line, and that is what you can hear?

So who's the oldest? (or should that be eldest) biggrin

If you're over 50 then one has to ask the question why are you rushing around in stupidly quick high powered sportscars that can't be easy to get in and out of? Mid life crises? pay back for when you were young and could only afford a 1200 Anglia? Won't admit to getting old? In denial? Can't afford a proper quick car whistle

What's you're excuse wink
