Looks like mine has burnt out when I used my sat nav. Where can I get the complete unit? And is it an easy swop out?

Cheers guys

Hi, the first thing I'd do is to see if that sat-nav burned out the fuse- after all, that's what they're designed to do.

I see that your car is R plated so the fuse board may have a similar layout to the one on my S plate. If so, it will have 6 relays (or spaces) along the top with 5 below and the fuse you need to check is 4th from the lft (see page 243 in Steve's Bible).

If you find that the fuse needs replacing, the lighter unit should worksmile.

Hi Ropps, I hope the advice solves your problem.

It's always worth posting any problem on here as we all collectively have a huge amount of knowlege of these beasts- sometimes without really realising it.

A good example recently was my car facing its MOT with no operating sidelights. A quick post on here lead to member Pink Floyd stating that they only work in situ. I'd spent several hours before that testing them with the wires and bulbs poking out of the inspection hatches- and not lightingwobble!
