Squeaking/juddering clutch when pulling off
Discussion
Just a thought, but it's easy and free to check.
At the bottom of the gearbox is an inspection hole, thorough this hole you should be able to see the actuating arm for the clutch. This arm pivots on a ball and it starts to seize up and squeaks, it also gets a little stiff. Grease this with copper grease or high temperature grease.
Hope this helps.

Glad you put the word 'clutch' in the title.
I had realised. Apparently titles can't be edited though! Hi
Had the same in the griff when I first bought it,low revs in first when pulling away, raised the revs and it went away thought it was the dreaded shunting.
Replaced the clutch as a matter of course as it had done 30,000 miles and in its last 6 years had only did 2000 miles and it went away.
Worn or warped don't know bit cured it
Pete

Need to do this to mine before LM.
Sorry to bump up an old thread of mine, but this seemed to go away for a while, but it's getting worse again.
My local mechanic seems to think it's to do with a small oil leak I've got, which is affecting the clutch (oil getting thrown backwards)
Am I right in thinking this is what I need to be greasing? (Sorry if it sounds stupid!)

If greasing the arm doesn't fix it then it is possibly oil contamination on the driven plate, if it is then you'll need to find and fix the oil source and clean all clutch components and fit a new driven plate. Better still is replace all 3 clutch components.
That's what I'm concerned about. I have got a slight oil leak, so it could be down to that.Greasing is obviously the cheaper option, so ill try that first and see how it goes!
