hi,i wonder if anyone on here can help ??
i was thinking of relocating the fuseboard on my chimarea fromm the passenger footwell
to behind the passenger seat,i was just wondering if it is much of a job and if i have to extend cables etc and whether the loom etc will fit into the cubby box along with the fuel/ignition relays.
your thoughts would be much appreciated
thanks charlie

Charlie, you can make it reach without having to extend anything however as nosh will tell you there are mixed reviews. Carl Baker will tell you to steer clear of moving it as it could potentially harm any corroded wires ... resulting in not knowing what has gone wrong if something does. I must admit i hadn't been told that until nosh came round and told me when he saw mine. Mine will be staying in situ and hasn't caused me any problems as yet so i guess it depends whether you want to risk it.

PHer Lotusandy did this mod and also relocated his battery to the boot.
His well documented conversion with loads of photos is in this thread

It was that thread that motivated me to do mine.

I think it’s a better place for both the fuse-block and the battery: I was quite shocked to see the jumbled mess that was the state of things behind the passengers footwell. The only different thing I did was to run the loom under the centre armrest and then down to the cubby-hole.
