I have a loud creaking coming from the vacinity of the nearside rear wheel arch, happening in accompaniment to wishbone/spring/shock movement...

The Gaz Golds have been refurbished about 2000miles ago, at which point the springs were upgraded to stiffer ones - but I have had no problems with either since they were re-fitted.

My thoughts were spring/shock-related creaking, or possibly droplink-mount related - but these are guesses based on my limited experience.

When peeps have had similar creaking, what was the cause for you guys..?

Many thanks,

Dom

When I had creaking on my car it was when the suspension was under compression from acceleration and wasn't continuous. The problem was narrowed down to the shocks. I know you've just had them rebuilt but I wouldn't rule them out.

Mine creaked for a while, nearside rear wheel, prior to the droplink/arb mounting plate failing. If you have SH or Leven drop links this appears to increase the chance of failure.
Mine have been replaced with a beefed-up version.

Hmmm - yes, have SH droplinks.
Thought the mountings might be a candidate, as have had another go before...

Any other ideas guys..?
