Dropped the Tiv off this morning first thing for its MOT and received a call by 10.00am to say it’s passed with no advisories. woohoo

Fortunately (or maybe not) Mrs. TT (who hates the Tiv) is working from home so she walked into town to collect the car.

She call me a few minutes later to say the car is at home but she tapped the bumper putting it into the garage and chipped a bit of paint. Not to worry I said, it needs a bit of paint here and there thinking that where she hit it would have been on some low wooden garden border and therefore be pretty much out of sight anyway.

She then tells me that there’s pink liquid running out from under the car. (The antifreeze is the pink long life stuff). Thinking she’s just caught something and a hose is weeping I asked if there was much and she said it’s pissing out!

Not only am I full of cold but I now have an upset wife and a leaky Tiv. weeping

Still, at least it has a 12 month MOT.

Last week she drove the Jag XF for the first time and managed to get ‘DSC unable to operate’ and ‘ABS inoperative’ messages coming up on the warning screen. Seems she was accelerating with her right foot while keeping her foot riding the brake (it’s an auto).

I’m thinking of banning her from driving any of OUR cars except HER Audi A4 with 150K on the clock as its survived 10+ years of her driving.

Having got home and inspected the damage it appears to involve a small scratch below the front grill. Hardly even noticeable.

Can't figure out where the water has come from though.

My wife drove my corsa (3 years brand spanking new) and was rear ended....

Needles to say she never drives my corsa anymore or never ever the Tvr...

And she still married me Hahaha

What did make me laugh was her mum (my mother in law) said "its only a plastic bumper (this wound me up crazy but bided my time) then she bought a new Hyundai I20 and planted the bonnet into a vice handle.... Needless to say i reminded her " its only a metal bonnet".... Hehehe

I fear for your marriage. Five such, have caused me to avoid the clever remarks. But you may be a better person than I have ever been.

As my ex's would testify, en masse.

Thankfully, while my wife's bum does fit in the TVR, she drove it once and announced "never again". She also refused to drive my E320 estate after backing it into a BMW in Tesco's car park, but the best laugh was after she backed her RAV4 into a post in Tesco's car park (what is it with women and Tesco's car park?). She came home quite tearful and told me what she had done. The daughter and I went out to have a look and saw that the stoved in plastic bumper had popped out again and there was barely a mark visible. We wound her up mercilessly for half an hour until I popped outside for 60 seconds and came back in telling her I had fixed it. Her face was a picture..... biggrin

My husband managed to park my Chim against a garage wall last year, scuffing the bumper fairly badly. He did pay for it to be fixed though.

You let him live the? What generosity.

If I wrapped my wife's Mini Cooper against anything I would ring her up from a VERY long way away, to inform her of said damage. Even then I might be killed in the blast. Bad mistake!!
