Hi
I just thought Id explain why I dont get involved with testing or repairing other peoples MS ECUs.

If it was one of mine then I wouldnt hesitate to help. But when other people build them or supply them it usually turns into a nightmare for me.

This is the last one someone wanted to send me for testing:

Im not saying yours is like that, but 9 out of 10 are either bad or really bad, this one was built for him and he is struggling to get it working, I can't say Im surprised frown

Even if I sorted the above for him, Im sure he wouldnt have a properly built loom or any help files, manuals, etc, so Id end up giving valueable time to him when Id rather be helping my customers, making ECUs for my customers or driving my own car smile . Hope that explains it from my point of view,

thanks,
Phil

Horrible eh?

That's why I ordered direct from you Phil. Thought there's enough to iron out without having any doubts over the ECU itself.

No good Im afraid, needs to be a Jimstim to test a 36-1 wheel setup and it really needs to be connected to a set of coil packs, idle valve and at least 2 injectors to test it properly.
Sorry,
Phil

Woops whistle thanks Phil its cos I have EDIS 8 taking care of the 36-1 wink so 36-1 set-up on the MS2 redundant in my case as not direct fire.

Well you cant damage anything on the car doing it this way at least scratchchin it will either run or it wont wink plug the laptop/PC in while your doing your final checks and cranking etc it can save a lot of confusion and tell you if your syncing up crank signal and reading engine clt/air temps etc etc, let us know how you get on Alex thumbup Don't forget you need to load the firmware/op system before your ready to go unless your builder as done this already of course.
