Alarm key fob

Hi all. I've got a 95N Chim with the alarm fob that has 2 buttons. The left one (with the LED being top right) is the one that I use normally but what does the other on do? Presumably one is for when the roof's off but I'm not sure. An explanation would most appreciated.

It may depend on your alarm, my left button locks/unlocks with beeping noises and the other does so silently. It also, with the ignition on, disables the microwave sensors so you can then lock your car with the roof off and not have the alarm going off every five minutes, it will however go off if doors etc are opened (which seems a little pointless as the roof is off anyway). This applies to my 95M Chim, hope it's helpful
