Rear number plate removal

Hi

Can anyone tell me how to remove the rear number plate?

It is not one of the backlit plates (Chim 500 1999 T plate). There aren't any screws so I guess it is glued on..I'm a bit confused on how to get it off as I don't want to damage the body work.

Any ideas?

It is held on with double sided sticky tape. I used a palate knife covered with a duster to lift the number plate just enough to get my fingers behind to pull it off.

Thanks for the advice.

Ok, now I know it is stuck on with double sided sticky tape..do you think heating it up with a hairdryer will soften the sticky tape enabling the plate to come off easier?

Damn I haven't got a hairdryer and can't go to the shops and buy one because I'm follicley challenged!

I did a bit of that before the knife bit, but I thought you'd think I was being soft! Not sure it made a huge difference either.

I just put my finger against the bodywork to act a pivot for the screwdriver and levered it out. Once it was loose enough for fingers I used them.

If you can get it to minus 40deg C it will drop off.
