Sprinting at Snetterton yesterday (unspeakable conditions, but that's another story) and every time I went round the left hand hairpin, Firmans, something in the back of the car went *clonk*, like there was something in the boot.
So, having looked very carefully in the boot, jacked the sucker up and looked underneath and driven up and down my road, weaving like crazy, it sounds like there may be something loose inside the petrol tank. Could this be the case? Do Chimaeras have submersible fuel pumps, or could the float for the fuel gauge be loose (the gauge still works and has a sensible reading)? The noise comes from the nearside, from around the fuel filler area, happens both on right and left hand corners, but is worse on left hand ones.
Any ideas?
