Are tvr chimaeras selling
Discussion
Bought my very first TVR, a 450, at the end of April. (very pleased with it too!) Only looked at two and the other one is STILL for sale. Although the other one was nice, it was the wrong colour combo for me - and seemingly for others. I reckon buyers are very choosy these days about what they want as there is such a large selection. Most specs can be accommodated if the prospective buyer is patient. Currently there are 112 Chims on PH classifieds, (where I found mine) with a relatively smaller number of all other models. (Tuscans are next highest at 45 with Griffs at 44) Are the other models selling any quicker, I wonder...

I bought my first one about three weeks ago - the first one I saw admittedly, just fell for its charms and the colour was right. As it happens I got a good one.
I have found the same as you with selling almost any car on Autotrader......sometimes you get a sniff, sometimes you don't. Doesn't seem to be any logic to it. I sold a high mileage Saab in 24 hours, yet a nice low mileage RAV4 took about 6 weeks.

Picked up mine last week. My first TVR and I'm not good with the spanners so decided to go to a dealer for the added reassurance. They seem to be selling cars left right and centre (and they are considered to be the far from the cheapest) so maybe private sales are suffering more than trade??

Ed, car is fantastic other than a few niggles with the roof. Simon has arranged to get them sorted as soon as I can get back down there. Glad yours is sorted. The thickness of my wallet seems to be decreasing to the tune of about 25 mpg so not too bad I think. Mine is now the MAF is sorted - hoping to improve on 120 miles in one tank!
Btw, while I was picking up my car from Fernies, my brother turned up and bought a Griff. Considering their rep as being very expensive, they seem to be doing alright!!
