Early Clocks/Speedo problems

Hi,

two years ago my ODOMETER stopped working, I took the clock to the small dealer in Farnham which is now no-longer with us, they got it repaired.

Two thousand miles later the Speedo needle has fallen off, has anyone ever taken one of these clocks apart to fix this problem?

Who would the speedo unit been sent to for repair?

Hmmmmmmm...my speedo needle takes a jump between erm 130 and 140 mph for some strange reason

Hi Paulu,

How did you get the speedo out of the dash?

Mine seems to stick at about 90 for some reason.
I'm a bit worried about cracking my immaculate dash panel in the process.

Remove dash top. Undo retaining clamps and connections and then gently push it out. A bit of polish as a lubricant helps.

Thanks Steve. I have a copy so I'll look it up. Is it as easy to crack/damage the dash front as some make out?
