cost to fit a new clutch
Discussion
I don't mean to sounds rude but isn't it simply box off, pressure plate off, clutch plate then fit new? Box backo and test?
Ok not literally as simple... Jack car up, secure, disconnect linkages, drop box. Align clutch (tape on end of hatchet handle never failed yet)
Ok ball ache but save yourself alot of money??

I just can't believe people would pay that much for a simple straight forward job.. Since its all linear its easier then having to drop drivesheafts out etc... Prop out, exhaust off and box out.
If you can get a mate to give a hand then better still. Surely its not worth paying £700+ :-/

Neil Garners did mine last year IIRC for a bit over £500...
It's not a difficult job in itself but access to many parts of it are a b*tch ... the top bell housing bolts are a 'mare to get to as there just isn't much room to get a spanner / ratchet in there and getting the gearbox linkage and top brackets lined up as well seemed to be somewhat "problematical".
