Battery is fooked, buy a new one and start again.

You're hearing the starter solinoid trying to engage, there's not enough power in the battery.

Try jump leads to confirm.

What's the problem with fitting it yourself?
First, place your mobile phone somewhere handy on the floor passenger side, with the monkey wrench and the new battery beside it.
Then, Just take the roof off, lie on the seat with your head under the dash, put your feet on the targa hoop and tilt your head 90 degrees backwards.
Try to reach the battery with the monkey wrench (standard issue for Chimps).
The call your chiropractor.

Probably worth pulling the fuel pump relay and spinning it over on the starter for a while to get the oil pressure up and give it chance to get to the important bits, if it's been stood for a year it will be drier than a nuns f***ybiggrin
