Just wondering what peoples experiences are with changing the coulour of the seats etc . using Furniture clinic products. Mine are at the moment a light tan on a black car and I would like to go to a light cream. Some of the results ive seen on here look really good .but long term are they as good as original when recoulered Bearing in mind my interior is good at the moment with very little wear on seats etc and is it a DIY job or best left to a upholsterer

Pajero....

I have this particular teeshirt.

Happy to offer advice, if you need it - my original post is here...

A thoroughly rewarding job...

Mick - first off, I would (and did) pay the extra tenner for colour match. You can snip a bit of the seat from underneath.

This makes sure that the colour is spot on - not seeing your interior, it may not be the same as mine....but my seats were same colour as the middle console, lower dash and half of the door cards.

It would look pretty awful, IMHO, if the colours didn't match, even slightly....

You get matt finish - I went for gloss as I didn't like the matt finish when I was going mine.

Definitely worth getting a colour match done to be sure on the colour. I went for the Satin finish which gave a good match to the rest of the car. Very happy with the results. see thread below:

It's quite a time consuming process especially if you are going for a major colour change. I would also recommend you use an air compressor as the cans freeze up very quickly.
