Earth points

One headlamp was not working so thought I would clean up the earthing points first. Found the engine to chassis earth in front of the pedal box easily but could not find the one for the front lights fan etc. The Bible says it is where the body is attached to the front of the chassis on the right side under the radiator. After looking for ages I gave up and ran a new earth from the bulb plug to the engine/chassis earthing point. The actual problem was this plug which had overheated and melted. The headlamps are now fine but I would still like to clean up the original earth if possible.

Can anyone give advise on how to find the earth bolt or tell me where the wires run to it

That was the area I was looking at but could not see anything due to the body in the front and under the cross member and a lip to the rear and the rad above. How the hell do you access the bolt.

In through the grill from memory should do it. Good luck!

had the same issue on my griff but i managed with a few scrapped knuckles and some patience to take the bolt out clean it up etc by the rad through the nose but i also ran a secondary earth to the coolant bottle bolted to the chassis inside the engine bay, all sorted now, you have just go to love the designer who that would be a good place for the earth point for the lights windcsreen wipers etc...
