If so, please advise on cost and who can do it - there is lots of discussion on the forum - but nobody who actually says they have had it done. Cheers

Which rear light conversion do you mean - there is a vast choice now.

I can't answer your Q Jim, but note that the afterburner style is NOT the Lexus Max Bling job!

I would have thought the later lamp clusters would be a p.o.p. to fit - get the price for the units from TMS or another dealer and have a go. Then let us all know how you got on!

Rear lights are a DIY job I'd have thought. The Lexus ones probably most tricky as the covers are glued and difficult to remove, but the later TVR modules and the afterburners are pretty much a straight swap apart from some minor wiring changes.

Is there a whole new breed of mechanically inept TVR owners out there, or are you just a lazy git?

I suspect the latter as you haven't bothered to use search - there are dozens of threads on rear lights conversions, variants and problems encountered. Tsk!

I've done the rear light conversion with the ' bling ' fiesta lights.
Painted out the chrome with a matching colour to the car and I think they look good.
Not too difficult a job, the first one was a bit of a pig and then it gets easier.
The worst that can happen is that you bugger a set of lights.

Chris43 can you post a pic of the lights, I'm trying to make my mind up on a set of rear lights, either the 'bling' or the 'facelift'

Cheers

Chris - would you mind sending the piccy to me too?

I watched some "TVR Chimaera Lexus-style Rear Lights" go on eBay for about £115 when the same ones advertised for MK3 Fiesta are available for £80 inc.P&P !!

Can't decide whether I like them enough to attempt the change, but maybe body-coloured would look better still...

Rightway up...

Must say, I like the look of them, especially with the chrome bits overpainted!
