Help, after a run last night and several over the past few days, I jumped in to the car this afternoon and initially the battery was struggling so replaced the battery, wen I connected it sparked at the terminals as though I had connected the wrong polarity not the case, tried with the new battery turned over but not firing so seems like no fuel getting thru the key fob fails to start the pump, any pointers, possibly a fuse or relay, HELP ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

It pretty much always sparks when you connect the battery btw so I wouldn't worry about that

Do you have the hot start mod?
If so check the 20A inline fuse.

Hi Jpw, that's an iteresting reply as I fitted the Modwise hot start kit in May to get the car through its MOT. It now struggles to start (ie fuel pump primes but the starter doesn't seem to engage.

Is the 20amp fuse you mention on the actual fuse board or found amongst the wiring?

Mine appears to be in the wiring, however mine only went when I put the terminal blocks back on the battery. If it blows though the starter does not engage at all, although the fuel pump primes and stepped motor makes a noise when you turn the ignition key back to 0
