Hi, tonight my window started to make a bit of a noise on its way up.  It has now stuck, although the motor still makes a noise wen you press the button to go up or down.

Any tips?

Anyone?

Can anyone tell me how to take the door card off or provide some tips?

I managed to reach in through the speaker aperture last night and the cable for the window regulator seems to be twisted - whether it's meant to sit in a guide or not I don't know, although I think the door card will need to be removed to view and I can only see one fastener to the right of the speaker (it is the NSF door) and none anywhere else. I assume that they're all along the bottom and then you lift the door card up to remove?

There are either three or four nuts (10mm) holding the door card on which have to be accessed through the speaker hole. You have found the one at the front and need to reach in and feel for the others. There is often a screw behind the ashtray as well.

Are these all along the bottom edge, or are they littered everywhere?

Desperate to get the car back into rude health :-)

Along the bottom. If you google site: pistonheads: chimaera door card there are lots of threads about this. Likewise the sticking windows.

There are also some photos showing the stud location. There is no easy way other than by feel, I am afraid.

Well I had another look tonight & had no joy with the nuts :-(
Do you remove the one by the speaker & then pry off the door trim slightly to access the next bolt and then the next and so on?

I flt around by some channel & I can feel a spring like cable. On mine this is twisted & does not fit in th channel :-(. Is there a chance that it's come off a pulley or something?

I just pulled the glass up so that I can continue using the car :-)

You have to put your arm in and feel for them.

Removed my door cards a couple of weeks ago, sat on the ground back towards the front of the car. Then wiggle your arm in all the way, I found my arm went in easy up to the elbow, then spent 5 mins getting the elbow in, and then the rest of the arm went in easy. undid and removed far nut and washer. I did at one point wonder if I would get my arm back out again, but a bit or wriggling and I got it out. Not easy but lots of us have done it.

Thanks again everyone. Will see how "we" get on tomorrow, I'm trusting in my mate as he's done it before!
I'll be on brew duty :-)
