Hot Start Problem with a twist

I've tried a search but nothing stands out similar to my problem

Over the last couple of weeks, I have experienced some issues when I start from hot. Its perfect when cold.

Symtoms are:

Car turns over, albeit its seems "tight", and fires up but takes a few starter turns longer than when cold.

Strong petrol smell from exhausts but runs a treat afterwards.

All new ignition system about 2 months ago except ignition module and starter motor and temp module.

Seems to be running fine although petrol consumption is high but I could be heavy on the loud pedal

Water temp has risen to approx 95C recently but only during very weather

Well, brought it up to the top of the pile hoping for some help pretty please!! come on please help a numptie

INMHO 95 is too high and if you read the Bible you may conclude that it will not run well. My car starts first time hot or cold but in France it crept over the magic 90 and did not run so smoothly.

Check all the cooling components and consider moving the number plate, fitting a splitter and modding the fans - modwise kit.

Back flush the rad?

It's all to do with the ecu mapping. A cool engine is best because some parts such as exhaust valves are red hot anyway.

Even at 90 I need driving gloves to touch the gear nob or handbrake. At 95 you must be losing weight in that sauna?
