Passenger side electric window stopped working
Discussion
Is it making any noise at all?
Mine packed in the other week, although it required complete door card removal and then I had to take the window regulator out. Basically the cable sits in a guide & it had come out of the guide so had to be put back in and then the guide crimped to prevent it coming out. Have to say that if you do remove it, it's a bugger to get back in & set properly! It's not perfect now (there might have been a shim or some trick at the factory), although I have my electric window back & I'm happy :-)!

whip the speaker out and you get to all the wiring, i'd test with either multimeter or circuit tester, see if it's a wiring or motor problem

ha well I'm not that great at wiring, just kind of guess work and trial/error but i'm happy to have a look for you and see if we can work it out.
Out of interest does anyone know what the motors are from originally? I'm guessing they arent TVR specific?
I will take you up on that offer ,when you have time cheers Out of interest does anyone know what the motors are from originally? I'm guessing they arent TVR specific?
Hey, my driver's side stopped working after a really heavy shower in Le Mans - 30 mins later it was working again. Then, last weekend I washed the car and it stopped working again (would go up but not down). I thought it'd be ok in an hour or so but it wasnt so a week later, as in saturday just gone, I removed the door card - man that's a 'female dog' of a job, if you have a child, get them to do it as you have to put your arm (past the elbow) through the speaker hole to get to 3 (or in my case as it's a later car, 4) tricky bolts just to remove the door card. I couldn't find the cause of the problem but after wiggling some wires it all seemed ok. I lubricated the runners and it's now a bit quicker to rise but I wonder for how long.
There are a bunch of wires and a connector which sit at the bottom of the door which, when in rain or just washed, are immersed in water. My connectors were well greased so they were ok but the amount of moisture in there was a tad disturbing.
I sprayed some WD40 to ensure the worst was dispersed but I plan to drill some small drain holes in the bottom of the door, just to be on the safe side.
It's unlikely to be the problem, however you could try the glass height adjuster - if it's going too high it might be getting jammed on the rubber buffer (lump of black rubber at the back of the door on the window line above the lock) There's a height adjustment screw about halfway from the quarterlight bar to the back of the door, a few cm below the windowline. 3-4 turns is about 3mm difference.
Sorry I couldn't help by telling you what was actually wrong with mine and therefore likely to be the problem with yours but by the sound of it, it's moisture related! Try wiggling some wires, cleaning all the connections up as they could have slightly corroded if theres not enough grease, re-greasing/WD40, lubricating the runners etc.
Good luck!

The motor you are looking for can be found in any old Ford Orion which has power windows.
(Sierra may be the same, worth a look).
I had the same problem and sourced one from a breakers for £10.
