Typical. Service finished, just washed and polished, club meet tomorrow (amongst other obvious plans now that summer finally arrived). Nice!

Hope you get it sorted quickly and easily thumbup

Don't suppose you could post some pics of the interior could you? The pic on your profile hints at a very nice colour combo.

Reminds me a lot of my brothers stupid wife 2 years ago.
she reversed my brothers X-type tow hook into the bang middle of my bonnet just below the TVR badge.
I was lucky the bonnet disintegrated but the car's front and the location for the hinges were still intact.
Finally got a new bonnet from Julian, but waiting for the bonnet to be made, cured, delivered and painted finally ruined my summer season 2010.
hope you are more lucky, would use a lot of tape to stop water and oil coming in when you are still using the car in this glorious weather

@swanny71:- here you go...pants quality iphone pic though!

So, on an additional note, I just snapped the upper rose joint clean in half from an SH rear ARB joint. Does anyone know the size so I don't have to jack the car up twice. Cheers.

Yup - they are ashtrays - the post facelift cars had them IIRC ...

(My pre facelift doesn't.)

Hi, mirrors are basically an aftermarket 'retro style' thing bolted through a custom mount. I just hated the original mirrors and wanted shot of them and the stupid unreachable fixing (I end up with a huge bag o' bits following this sort of rebuild process).

Anyway, Cheap alu plumbers pipe joint, cut at 45°, milled, drilled and taped so it will clamp to the old mushroom shaped part (left screwed to the door) with an m4 grubscrew. Fiberglass alu washer in place for secure fit and smooth finish. Paint and bolt on - job done! I think it suits the Chimp much better than the elephant ear standard French jobbies.
