You would have to be brave or have a heads up to buy a TVR at auction.

Thats the Car Fest auction, lots of nice looking cars with decent history.

Ive managed to get tickets so will report on how much it goes for.

Looking at the valuations at that auction, the Chimera is a fair, but the others. (!)

Mk 1 Golf GT- £8k. Got to be joking. spin

A 1985 Mercedes 230CE would be nice to knock about in, but £7000 plus ?! Even with only 40k miles on it, I doubt it'll fetch more than half that.

Mk1 GTis are on the march at the moment. I've seen a couple up for around £15k recently.

Main reason my dad used to let me stay up late to watch the Rockford Files as a kid: to see Jim Rockford's Firebird. Loved anything with a V8. Nothings changed smile

It is mildly amusing that when you select 'view all' many of the images are incorrect.

Like the jacket shaped in the style of your granny's wingback.

Yup the pontiac fire bird is awesome, I have also fallen for the red alfa GTV 2000, but I agree prices seem a little optimistic,,, also I think I got a bargain buying my 1997 Chim 450 with 46k for £7750 ! smile
