couple of problems possibly linked?

Hi guys

Got a strange one at the moment, since service I have had a light throttle misfire (if I am cruising you can notice it, full throttle you don't)( I am also not pointing the finger at the guy who serviced it, it has always been a bit rough on idle and he found the vacuum advance one way valve the wrong way round so it was probably just helping to mask the problem)

now last night I started getting the top LED red light randomly coming on but only dim which I believe is the alternator light? now I don't have a 100amp fuse as its an early car which was my 1st thought so any more ideas of what to look at? (leads, dizzy cap + arm and leads are all known good ones and I have taken off the extenders to remove that possibility too)

I can't help with your misfire problem but as far as I'm aware, all Chimaeras were factory fitted with a 100 amp fuse next to the starter motor. See here for details: http://www.chimaerapages.com/resources_fuse.php

nope, very early ones didnt, I know I'm not the only one, I checked all the cables looking for it and then had it confirmed by a TVR specialist when I 1st got the car.
