Does anyone know of the fuction of the push button located just in front of the ignition key please,,not the imobiliser (in same place as RRose button on cerbs etc)? A click comes from the ECU area when switching on and off its a factory switch much the same as the dash lights or boot release but isnt just a push button it has a definate on or off.
Also I have a lead going into the passenger seat but not to the drivers side perhaps its a heated seat but cant work out why drivers side hasnt got one,far as I know there are no seat belt warning lights, any help much appreciated

ok does it click around the fuse box/ecu area when you switch it?
By override what do you mean ie switches one off or different temp settings? Mine doesnt stop the fans when running though I have noticed the left one not working occasionaly.

I was hoping it was an octane switch LOL as its pinking at the moment.

it overrides the otter switch to manually kick the fans in, but it won't stop them if the rad fan switch is activated

Heated seats.

The switch for these is usually on the steering wheel cowling just like your mystery switch.

Are you sure there is no wiring loom going to the drivers seat ( may be underneath)?

Don't feel deprived of fire hazards.....it's a TVR, there are plenty of other fire hazards to keep you interested!

Will they still kick in even when the engine is cold? I have one too which I though was an over ride switch but this has got me thinking it could be for the seat

scary!!
They are actualy dangerous in the wrong hands, the ones that get my attention are the non enthusiast (no idea just like the noise) or lady owned ones truly scary numbers of loose VITAL nuts and bolts and simalar stuff to pic!
They do when driven frequently need constant monitoring.

Helps if I look on the correct side. I do have an over ride button on the right of the column. I was pressing the button for the dial lights on the LHS
