Hi All
Has anyone fitted a Steve Heath heat shield, have just completed the job on my 4.0HC, Thought it was going to be an easy job according to the instructions. Just undo the two bolts and slide it on!! Well undone the bolts, it wouldn't go on as it fouled on the exhaust so drilled out the rivets put the bracket on the bolts and realigned the shield and fixed shield back on using allen bolts!! and how do you get to the bottom bolt!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to tighten it up?

Regards Colin

I had the same problem when fitting mine, took a very thin spanner and an unnaturally double jointed angle to come in at in from underneath. Had it for a few years and it's broken the rivets twice (used some very heavy duty ones the last time they broke) and now the bracket itself has clean broken through in the centre between the two bolts.

Unfortunately it just doesn't seem to be able to handle the vibrations it's exerted to, looks good, but maybe a bit too much weight to it.

Looking for a replacement again if anyone has any recommendations.
