Does anyone know of any blogs or websites with details of removing and refitting carpets? Searched but to no avail. I want to tackle mine but am unsure of what to expect, plus I am sure there are some tricks of the trade to help.

Thanks

i am having mine done by dave the trimmer in MK. most of the kits you see cost 300 or 400. he is doing mine, fitted for 600. a huge amount of work for a novice for just 200.

i'm all for doing things myself, but he will do a better job, and it wont cost that much in addition to the carpet set. i cant help with your enquiry regarding a blog, sorry

I can say there is at least one thread in here showing the job pretty much start to finish.

Sorry, I haven't looked, but it is here, so try googling (it's better than the site search engine).

I've just bought a set from Central TVR for £250 and was going to fit myself but have found a local trimmer in Kimmel bay near Rhyl that will fit for £150-200, so booked in for early Nov

Fernhurst fitted mine. Frankly I can't imagine doing it myself if there are trimmers willing to do it for 250 quid or so.
