I thought it would be a good idea to get the outriggers replaced before they rusted through. But while it was in I thought I'd also have a roll cage and new faired in headlights fitted. Oh and might as well have the whole chassis cleaned down and painted/protected.

The work has been completed and its looking good but it was off the road for ~ 2 months having the work done and it seems it didnt like being unused for so long. The UJs on the steering appear to have seized so its been off to have those looked at. On the way to drop it off the handling was scary, just heard that 3 of my 4 Gaz golds have no rebound . They are 4 years old so now they are all off for a service/refurb. And I also noticed my rose joint droplinks have started rattling.

And the occasional clunk clunk clunk from the back is now a lot more frequent - I suspect the diff might need a refurb too.

All in all I will have been without my chim for 4 months this year, and that may not be the end of it....

Very fed up but I know when I drive her again with everything sorted all will be forgiven and I will have my big smile back.

I suppose the clue was in the "3 hours".

Should have made it 23 hours, who knows what might have happened then smile.
