I've read all the past posts about odometers sticking on the cusp of the ..999 turnover but my problem is slightly different. It sticks on the 5/10ths click if it isn't warm (or I don't manage to hit a pothole) of nearly every mile. once it's gone passed the 5/10ths a few times in a journey it will generally be ok for the rest of the day. But then the next morning it sticks again.

It's the older style speedo with no trip counter (just the bloody loud clicking) and I've counted any number of times just to make sure - it's definitely the 5/10ths click - it's just a cli.. and your left hanging, waiting for the ..ck

If I can find a pothole to hit (or the rumble strips on the edges of the m'way, or even catseyes if they're big enough) it'll make it start again but I'm getting fed up of it - I haven't yet been able to put a full tank of fuel in and get a definite reading for the distance I can run on a full tank.

Can I take it apart and squirt the mechanism with WD40?

Hi VS, other than this little niggle (and it's not occurred at all on the way home just now!) everything is brilliant . I'm just waiting for the summer so I can get Kimberley topless!

(BTW, she seems to be running fine {no pinking} on standard unleaded from the local Sainburys which is only 77.9p - bargain!)
