As title.

While I'm waiting for my engine I'm fiddling about the car.

If this isn't needed, it might as well go!

Any ideas, it's the central ally box and the battery on the right, (rechargable I guess).

Thought you were building the engine yourself Peter. Or are you just waiting for machining work to be done.

Sorry, no idea on the box thingy.

That's rather more likely to be a tracker or similar if it has an external battery...

Ian, when the cam/followers failed for whatever reason it was in the middle of my busy season so as much as I enjoy a build and a challange I took the decision to outsource.

Phil, you may be right.
Could I just disconnect it?

As far as I remember they were never an active part of the alarm system of a vehicle and simply had a power feed to them so you should simply be able to disconnect it and not affect the operation of your alarm.

That battery will almost certainly be well and truly fooked anyway. biggrin

Thanks Andy. Another previous owner mystery solved. Some loose wires also. May have been connected to a battery sometime.

Had exactly the same Peter, its a Tracker identically set out too, ymine was still wired up but the battery retained no charge i would assume it was because it dated to around 95 needless to say it got binned.

Thanks Chilli. May "Go back to the future" with a LS3 motor, and be 20yrs younger as well!. That Vaurien guy in Hungary should open up in the UK with his stainless chassis and galvanized outriggers. I expect galvanizing is used extensively on N Sea oilrigs.
