Which coil packs?

Boring question but;
I am fitting MegaSquirt and want a neat coil pack installation.
I believe the ones that fit behind the plenum are the least intrusive, which ones are they?
They are P38 rangerover ones but will be a tight fit on a chimaera, I used the early ford type which are pretty robust but expensive compared to the newer type.I am fitting MegaSquirt and want a neat coil pack installation.

I believe mine are stock LR, and are tucked away behind the plenum Peter. If you have a look at my piccie in the show your engines thread (last page?) you can see the HT leads disappearing round the back of the plenum
These sound like the ones I need then.
A quick visit to my LR indie tomorrow then!
Peter your only locked into the Ford coil packs if using EDIS 8 and Slideways the 1st generation Ford coil packs are not just robust they are bomb proof never changed a failed since production unlike the 2nd gen coils
progress i guess and the fact Ford put the price up when they found out they was troublesome.

I would rather use a £5 scrap car OE s/hand Ford/Motorcraft coil pack than a new pattern part
I am that convinced of thee OE reliability that failure will be down to poor location i.e excess heat/vibration or wrong switching/dwell times
Yes Peter
these are more reliable than the 4 in-line coils fitted to the RR they are regarded as unreliable in my trade but others on here with their after-market ECU's have said they have not had issues
this is Ant's Griff of PH these are consider relaible-ish and fitted to Pug 306's and Citroen Xsara's adding to what Pupp just said I don't like the lack of access with this rear plenum idea on the Chimaera though.
