Chimp fuel pump relay
Discussion
Hi people,
Just a quick one and any advice gratefully received.
Ok problem.... Went to start chim today fuel pump refuses to prime, as away from my home and access to tools etc etc.
Step 2 phone RAC.
Step 3. Faulty fuel pump really diagnosed.
Step 4 we substitute duf fuel pump relay with identical but functioning relay off fuel injector system.
Ok up shot back home after 21/2 hrs cruising down M1.
Request to learned fellow PHeaders. Does anyone know where we get another relay? Part nos etc. I understand it mas to be electronic not mechanical according to the 'bible', otherwise I end up with flat battery as fuel pump does not shut off.
Ok answers please...... Rev chimp

Bosch 0332 014 112. This is the number stamped on the old (Bosch) relay itself.
The Bosch box also has another number 450 22 0610 printed on it.
Can't recall which of the two is the part number, but if you quote the first number that should be sufficient.
Motor factors should stock it, but you might need to phone around a few to locate one. My Eurocarparts stock(ed) them.
The new ones have brown plastic outer casings, not metal as per the originals.
