800rpm with very minor fluctuations (TADTS )

If your car is hunting wildly for idle then get it to a specialist.

no nothing major happening, runs about 1100rpm when cold and about 900 when warm but sometimes skips back up to 1100 when warm too !

There are a few simple checks you can do before getting anyone else involved. Check all the HT's leads are secure. Also, remove the stepper motor, it's on top of engine near the windscreen(large spanner required) clean and replace.

This usually sorts out idle problems on my Chim. Mind you the design of the stepper motor seems to have improved over the years.
