Just had the renewal premium from the AA.
The breakdown,if you'll excuse the awfull pun is;
Roadside. £66.00.
Home Start. £40.00.
Relay. £43.00.
Total. £149.00.

Has anyone any experience of Green Flag as I believe that they are cheaper, or any other suggestions before I sign up with the AA again.

GEM motoring assist - Its more of an insurance policy where they send out a local garage who you have to pay and then claim the amount back from GEM.

I have used them once and it worked well. 0800 number to ring. Local garage arrived in about one hour. Got the money back within a week.

For 35 odd quid both of us are covered for home start, breakdowns and transport to destination.

I;ve had one experience of green flag in the past and they were fine as well.

I can recommend Direct Line, got it cheap with the car insurance so not sure what they charge but used them once, far better than AA who i was for last 10 years. Arrived in half hour, sorted problems out quickly and effectively.
