Some bright spark took one of my headrests completely out and I can't for the life of me get it back down. Am I missing something or is there a knack to it. Any ideas appreciated before I break something :-/

Apologies if you have tried this already but...

On the hole where you stick the legs of the head restraint there should be a collar. One of these collars should have a spring loaded catch embedded in it. Insert the legs of the head restraint and then push this little catch in and press the head restraint down into the seat back.

That should sort it.

Thanks, I'll give it a try but I don't remembering seeing any spring-loaded catches when I shone a torch down there yesterday. The workings don't look that sophisticated. It's a '98 S.

If they are there they should be on the surface of the hole and easily identifiable.

Some seats that I have seen, but not on TVR's, have this catch thing that is operated by a lever thats actually under the material, you just need to know where to press and it releases the stop thats getting in the way.

Try a bit of foreplay, I can always get mine in easier.

Mine has no catches, just slides in and out. friction seems to hold it in place.
