Picked it up yesterday, Golf VR6, its got PS, AC, ABS, ESR, OTC, and loads of other stuff. I have no idea what any of it is or what it does, but what a great little car. According to the 'OTC' I've got just over 30mpg ave since picking it up yesterday. And I can floor it on a damp road and it doesn't instantly try to swop ends... or kill me smile And I can get my mum and dad in it. Although I'm not yet convinced that's a plus point scratchchin

It goes like a train, and has something called FWD, which apparently is good news in winter time smile I can (although only on second day of ownership) thoroughly recommend one of these small germanic shopping trolleys as a great alternative to getting the Chim out in the wet/icy/snowy conditions that we will likely get in the coming months smile

Will post pics if anyone interested wink

Cheers,

Chilli

I'm interested!

These are great little cars, I love a decent hatch, (not french!).

I'm sure you'll have great winter fun with it. If it looks like a bad winter, consider a set of winter/snow tyres, pretty awesome!

Good choice. First hatchback to put a narrow angle V engine in. Nice little runaround smile

Yep smile, I'm very impressed with this, never had a Golf before, other than 5 days with a MkII GTi in the mid eighties as an insurance loan car whilst my XR thingy was being repaired rolleyes. It's a 16 year old car (older than the Chim), yet it drives superbly and the engine is silky smooth even at 108000 on the clock....... Was looking at Skoda and Passat diesels, something sensible, but couldn't help it when I saw the add... Paid 1800 quid, huge amount of car, performance, and fun for the money.....

Pete, piccie here smile

Chilli..

Damn, won't upload a piccie, I'll try again

Looks fairly tidy. Loved Golfs, the fast ones since Mk1&2 GTI's. Then VW lost their way, but I rejoined the old with a MkV 2 years ago. smile

If I win you have to clean my car wearing a dress so every one can see!

I'm not sure everyone wants to see! All protagonists must wear pants.
