New stereos and blown fuses!!

Had my first 'cock-up' with the car on Saturday. Decided that the old Pioneer head unit with cassette had to go. I've got a JVC single CD unit lying around so thought I would have a go a replace it.

All was going really well (sounds and everything) until I shorted the main 12v supply and suddenly no power to the head unit. Also no hazard lights when I press the little red button and when I arm the alarm, the central locking does not appear to work.

Everything else on the car is working. I tried removing and checking the fuses in the footwell (great position for a fuse box!), and they all appeared to be working.

Is there a fuse under the dash for the harards and locking? Anyone else done this and prepared to admit to it?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi not done it myself yet, but the Central Locking and hazards are on diffrent fuse's both are in the main fuse box in the foot well. The central locking should be a 15A and 8th in from the right and the Hazards is a 15A and 11th in from the left. Hope this helps.
